Community rules
SANPU is a friendly place to study and practise languages together. These rules apply everywhere: study rooms, room chat, direct messages, profiles and the Public wall.
- Be kind and respectfulTreat everyone the way you want to be treated. No insults, bullying, hate speech or harassment about anyone’s race, religion, gender, nationality, accent or level.
- Keep it safe for everyoneNo sexual content, nudity, violence or gore in voice, chat, names, avatars, whiteboards or shared videos. SANPU is used by students of every age.
- Help people practiseStudy rooms are for learning. Give others a turn to speak, be patient with beginners and stay on the room’s language and topic.
- No spam or advertisingDo not flood chat, repeat messages, blast noise or music into a room, or promote other sites, servers or products.
- Protect privacyNever share someone else’s personal details, photos or recordings, and do not record a room without everyone’s permission.
- One person, one accountDo not impersonate other people or the SANPU team, and do not make new accounts to get around a ban.
- Respect room ownersThe person who created a room can lock it, remove people and set its topic. If you disagree, leave politely and find another room.
- Report, don’t fight backIf someone breaks the rules, report them or post on the Feedback wall. Moderators review reports and can mute or ban accounts.
What happens if you break the rules
Depending on how serious it is, a moderator may warn you, mute you, remove you from a room or ban your account for a while. Banned accounts are listed in Prison until the ban ends. Serious or repeated abuse leads to a permanent ban.
