How to practise English speaking online for free
Reading and listening help, but speaking only improves when you actually speak. The good news: you do not need a paid tutor to get daily practice. Free voice rooms let you talk with learners from around the world, at your level, whenever you have ten minutes.
Pick a room at your level
In SANPU, study rooms are grouped by language and level. Beginners can join a beginner room where everyone speaks slowly and nobody minds mistakes. When you feel ready, move up a level.
Prepare three things to say
Before you unmute, think of three short things: what you studied today, something you did this week, and one question for the room. Having a plan makes it far easier to start talking.
Listen, then copy
When a stronger speaker says a phrase you like, write it down and use it yourself a few minutes later. This "shadowing" is one of the fastest ways to sound natural.
Make it a habit
Fifteen minutes every day beats two hours once a week. Use the focus timer to set a short speaking session, and SANPU rewards you with coins for showing up.
